Muzha Waste Incineration Plant began operation on March 28th, 1995, and officially obtained the environmental education field certification on March 16th, 2015. With the core value of local enviormental cognition and sustainable development, we have created an environmental course on "waste disposal and reuse." Through the course, we anticipate that students can understand the relationship between waste and environment, cherish the resources around us, help reduce the harm of waste, and finally do their part of enviromental protection.

Different from other water park in Taiwan, Shengou water park draw the water from the Langyang river instead of reservoir. 75％ of this park remains undeveloped to retain underground water; yet the rest area is most artificial wetland to purify the river water. We design many interactive activities with water. Let you learn everything about water in a meaningful and fun way.

Huoyanshan Ecocenter is situated in Sanyi Township, Miaoli County. It was opened on April 16, 2005. Our goal is to provide people with the knowledge of cliff landscapes in the Huoyanshan nature reserve, native horse-tail pine forests and the region’s ecosystems, as well as nature’s influence on local culture. We host in-center guided tours and educational events and work with community members to collectively promote preservation work, including area patrol and visitor number monitoring. We look forward to increasing people’s love for Huoyanshan’s nature and culture and inviting them to take actions to preserve this place.
Huoyanshan Ecocenter is a scenic building with three floors above the ground and two underground floors. Both its exterior and interior have been designed to show the unique natural characteristics of Huoyanshan.
There are five stories in the ecocenter. B2 is the facility management space, B1 has ecological exhibition rooms on the area’s terrain, climate and culture, and 1F focuses on local culture and ecology in Sanyi Township, Miaoli County. 2F is the service center where people can gather tour information, and 3F is equipped with a multimedia classroom which regularly shows ecological documentaries, in addition to providing related preservation info.

Due to its low-lying terrain and proximity to streams, Dapi Township in Yunlin County has a high potential for flooding, with historical records showing floodwaters reaching depths of up to 2 feet. In order to improve the flood situation, the Fifth River Management Office constructed the Dapi Pumping Station in 2013, which has become an important disaster prevention facility for the Yunlin-Chiayi region.

Located in the central of Taiwan, Sun Moon Lake is a famous scenic area since 1900s. This gigantic lake hidden in the mountains always amazes travelers by its serenity and beauty. Beyond its beauty, the functionality of this lake is astonishing. Not only being the biggest hydroelectricity in Taiwan, but it also provided 60% of total electricity in Taiwan back in 1940s. For advocating the importance of environmental education, the administration certified this lake and its lakeside as Sun Moon Lake Environmental Education Center.
One of the unique spots is Xiangshan Visitor Center. Designed by Dan Norihiko, it represents the harmony between nature and human. Throughout the canopy design and the curved outline, the designer turns this building into a hill-like landscape instead of a boxy building. Furthermore, the energy-saving, air circulation and rain collection system let the entire visitor center become a cozy environment despite the weather outside. It realizes the dream that people can live with nature, not against it.

Kinmen National Park is the 6th national park in Taiwan. It is the first national park in Taiwan to conserve the history. Combined with mingnan culture, expatriates and war memorial, you can mmerse yourself into a living history encyclopedia.

Taichung Tzu Chi Jing Si Hall is located in the Fengle Village of the Nantun District of the Taichung City. In its neighborhood, within a couple of minutes walk is the tourist attraction, Fengle Sculpture Park. And across the street, in front of it, is the Nanyuan Park and Fengle Park MRT Station and the stop for city bus services. The venue is accessible to all through public transportation. There are three educational halls now, which feature education in 1) Friendly Earth and Disaster Response; 2) Recycling Economy and Extending the lifespan of materials; and 3) Green Life and Global Warming Mitigation. Interactive activities are designed to enhance user experiences and educational effectiveness.

Did you see the moon-base-like spherical building? That is the Environmental Resource Education Exhibition Center which includes the control center of the Taichung Sewage Treatment Plant at CTSP with the concept of an intelligent neural network. It monitors more than 140,000 tons of industrial sewage and its quality on the daily basis through the analysis and early warning of the sewage monitoring station in the park. It can swiftly provide abnormal water quality information of sewage treatment plants, preventive monitoring data of in-plant equipment, and increase early warning response time and timely maintenance information. You can learn about the intelligent management of sewage treatment plants and the process of turning industrial sewage into clean and recyclable discharge water in this facility! There is also the AI Robotics Hub at CTSP within this area, which allows us to see how artificial intelligence being applied in our daily lives. There are also environmental education promotion partners nearby such as TSMC Ecological Park at CTSP, AUO Taichung Plant, and Taichung Metropolitan Park. It is the best spot for an environmental education field trip, awaiting your exploration.
