In the shape of a green kite, Tree Valley Education Center,located in Tree Valley Park, Xinshi Dist., Tainan City, attaches recycling concepts to energy saving, waste reduction, ecology, and sustainability. Moreover, constructing friendly buildings, which meets the double-factor authentication of green building and low carbon, is a concrete commitment to embodying environmental sustainability. [Promote social education and root deep] Since Tree Valley Foundation was founded in 2008, it has been devoting to cultural conservation and focusing on promoting education of “archaeology”. Using daily life as the main idea with concepts of scientific investigation like the time axis and space axis leads students to put prehistoric images together. Also, it offers a fascinating glimpse of ancestors’ life, reflecting contemporary substances and the crisis behind them. Afterward, Tree Valley Foundation passed environmental education facilities and venues authentication in 2019. It develops three theme-oriented topics, including archaeology, ecology, and agri-food. Through research, speculation, and cultural understanding, we’re trying to find the best balance between human beings and mother nature by seeing in ancestors and creatures’perspective. We take 4 walls to record the land of Tainan and to reify ancestors’ life trajectories also environmental changes. In addition, constructing the largest and most realistic test pit in southern Taiwan makes participants do the actual diggings like an archaeologist and go through the process of scientific verification that is overthrown time after time. Growing up and learning about the land, cultural environment, and ecological environment, then pass on to the next generation safely. Yongkang Incineration Plant is the first incineration plant to get a carbon footprint certificate. Students will understand the impact of carbon emissions on the environment. Through the process of land transformation, students will learn how humans and animals coexist.

Dr.Jane Goodall visited Chang Jung Christian University in 2014, we initiated the long-term cooperation plan of establishing the “International Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots Eco-center” and planted a tree of hope at the site of the newly founded ecological center where the spirit of Jane Goodall can sprout and thrive with hope that the young people in Taiwan will create a better world. The Eco-center takes the concept of the University’s Christian spirit as its main driving force for development. Based on the principle of holistic education, the Center follows the practice of the Universities development strategy, gradually expanding its international perspective and striving to provide sustainable education for everyone, while affirming the dignity and value of all life. Eco-center's environmental education program aims at awareness, knowledge, environmental ethics, civic action skills, and civic action experience. The main characteristic of the program revolves around the International Roots & Shoots action and spirit. Based on learning experience and age differences, the program allows the student to obtain the appropriate concept. The eco-center expands and develops Taiwanese students' local experience into an international exchange… The design concept of the program combines localization and the Roots & Shoots international action plan to develop the series ""Highlights of Paper Bricks"",""New Hope for Erren River"". and ""Water Magician"".

Qigu salt field is located at Qigu, Tainan, near the Taiwan Strait. It used to be a bay salt field and owns rich salt industry resources, including salt mountains, salt pan, and coastal plants. Qigu salt field combines natural resources with cultural heritage. To promote Qigu's local features, we use diverse learning methods to guide visitors so that they can feel the natural and cultural features here.

The Chianan Plain is a large area with a mild climate, suitable for agricultural production. Before 1920, there was a lack of irrigation facilities and farmers diverted water from nearby rivers, but there was only 5,000 hectares of irrigated land and the yield was very small.Untill 1930, Wushantou Reservoir and its irrigation and drainage system are completed. The total irrigation area is about 130,000 hectares and a three-year crop rotation irrigation system is implemented.It improved the quality of life of people in the Chianan Plain. The National Cheng Kung University Marine Biology and Cetacean Research Center, located in Annan District, Tainan City, is an environmental education center which merged 3 different fields: research, education and cetacean stranding rescue. Thus, we provide environmental education courses related to cetacean conservation. The main exhibition room “Nanying Marine Conservation Education Center” has a special skeleton collection of a sperm whale which exploded on Ximen Road, Tainan in 2004 and other cetacean specimens. The visitors will learn not only the evolution and present state of cetaceans but the human impact on the marine environment. Furthermore, we will introduce the latest researches and the preparation of bone specimens to the visitors. We have decades of experience in cetacean stranding rescue, therefore we offer the related course to introduce the correct process to deal with a stranding site to the visitors.

The Shanhua Brewery is part of the state-owned Taiwan Tobacco and Liquor Corporation. Based on the sale of alcoholic beverages, the brewery is committed to environmental sustainability. It promotes tourism and preserves historical culture through the use of historical buildings, cultural elements, and an environmental education park. In addition, waste generated during the brewing process, including sludge, lees, distiller’s grains, and spent grain, is processed for reuse. The sludge is converted into organic compost, which is used to promote plant growth within the brewery, helping to reduce environmental pollution. The brewery also advocates environmental protection by effectively recycling water, steam, and other energy resources, creating a park that combines tourism, historical culture, and waste reuse as a learning and educational hub.
