Sun-Link-Sea Vacation Resorts is in the heart of Taiwan. Due to its iconic cloud forest ecosystem, it had many cypress trees and endemic species before the 1900s. Under Japanese rule in the early 1900s, this area developed as an important logging area. Japanese cedars were planted after all the cypresses were harvested in this area. Fun-Link-Sea Vacation Resorts was built in the 1970s as a recreational area. Not until the notorious 921 earthquake stroke this land, they decided to turn this area into a nature education centre in 2003.
