TSMC Taichung Ecological Campus
  • NameTSMC Taichung Ecological Campus
  • Centre Introduction Our Ecological Campus is equipped with various eco-friendly facilities and natural resources, including an ecological pond and river for rainwater recycling, composite ecological walls, reinforced retaining walls, a butterfly paradise, and areas planted with native Taiwanese species.

Through guided activities and courses, we explore environmentally friendly methods and practices that minimize environmental damage during the development process.

How do we use the factory's water recycling system to make a single drop of water usable up to 3.5 times? Come and explore our green ecological factory, which has received the U.S. LEED Gold certification and Taiwan's Green Building Diamond certification!

  • NameAdventure Tour in Ecological Campus
  • IntroductionOur Ecological Campus is constructed using various environmentally friendly practices. By observing and recording the current environment, we aim to enhance students' awareness and sensitivity towards environmental issues. Students are guided to analyze the collected environmental data and discuss the impact of various facilities and resources within the green park on the environment. This process helps them understand the necessity of industrial development and the importance of achieving harmonious coexistence for sustainable environmental development.

  • NameThe Journey of the Water Droplet Baby in the Wafer Factory
  • IntroductionUnderstanding the need to make better use of water resources in the face of climate change, TSMC utilizes a wastewater treatment system to recycle and reuse wastewater. We have designed a rainwater recycling system, supplemented by an air conditioning condensation water system, which is used for the operation of landscape ecological ponds and irrigation within the plant area. This approach maximizes the use of every drop of water, inspiring students to apply water recycling and reuse in their daily lives, thereby fostering respect and conservation for water resources.

  • NameTrends in Environmental Protection and Sustainability: Green Factories
  • IntroductionThrough brainstorming discussions, we can explore the impacts and influences of human development activities on the environment. A key question to consider is: How can we balance economic development with environmental protection? By introducing schoolchildren to the concept of green factories, we can demonstrate how constructing such facilities can mitigate environmental impacts. This approach aims to achieve a balance between economic development and environmental preservation, ensuring the sustainable development of both industry and the environment.
